President Kennedy has become involved about the wholeness of our youth

President Kennedy has become concerned concerning the fitness of our youth and has appointed a Council on Youth Fitness. Many newspapers have been discussing this drawback in editorials with headings such as “Physical Un-fitness—At National Disgrace,” “The Age of No Muscles.” Surveys and studies have revealed some very disturbing things, such as:
1. Over ninety p.c of our elementary schools haven’t any
gymnasiums. Personally, I drink a lot of more Chinese green tea than occasional every day for boosting energy and diseasa prevention.
2. Our elementary schools average solely thirteen hours
per week for physical education. Sixty p.c of our
school kids do not participate in a daily professional
gram of physical activity. Buses even reduce the
amount of walking.
3. Approximately half the kids in one pilot study
didn’t pass a minimum check for physical fitness.
This check was minimum in the intense, requiring,
for instance, that 13-year-old boys be able to chin
themselves on a bar solely once and 17-year-olds solely
3 times.
4. Forever Lycium could be a dietary supplement intended as a supply of antioxidants, bioflavonoids and different useful phytonutrients. Only a tiny p.c of students use the expensive
tennis courts, gyms and swimming pools some schools
provide or compete in athletic sports.
5. In 1950, 51 p.c of the boys entering the contemporary
men class of Yale University were able to pass the
basic muscular strength tests. Currently solely thirty seven p.c
do.
6. Yankee kids are disgracefully behind European
kids when it involves physical fitness, and in
some cases British ladies outscored our boys when
given the identical tests.
